By using our website or booking a delivery, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.


1) Definitions

  • Customer/you: the person or business placing the booking.

  • Goods: items to be picked up, transported and delivered.

  • POD: proof-of-delivery (photos, name/signature, time stamp).

  • Service Areas: SE QLD regions listed on our Service Areas page.

  • Window: the estimated pickup/delivery time range (e.g., 2–4 hours).


2) Scope of service

  • We provide small–medium construction materials delivery from supplier/store to job site (or site-to-site/returns) within our Service Areas.

  • We are not affiliated with any supplier (e.g., Bunnings, Reece).

  • We do not carry dangerous goods or items exceeding our posted size/weight limits.


3) Bookings & information you must provide

You must provide accurate details, including:

  • Pickup store name, address, order/PO number or “in-store purchase”, pickup contact.

  • Site address, site contact, access notes (gate codes, parking/loading zones, lifts/stairs, tight driveways, no-forklift sites, animals).

  • Item list with approx. lengths, dimensions and weight, and fragile items flagged.

  • Preferred date/time window and vehicle selection (Small or Medium).

  • Any required extras: two-person lift, stair carry, wrap/tarp, after-hours.

We may adjust vehicle type or charges if the load requires it.


4) Packaging, load & access

  • Goods must be suitably packaged for transport (boxed/wrapped/edge-protected where needed).

  • Provide safe access for pickup and delivery; advise of hazards.

  • Drivers may refuse or adjust unsafe loads (excess length/weight, unsecured, hazardous, or unsafe site conditions).

  • Where manual handling is required, you must book two-person lift and/or stair carry if appropriate.


5) What we won’t carry (examples)

  • Dangerous goods per ADG Code (e.g., gas cylinders, bulk flammables/explosives, corrosives).

  • Loose bulk aggregates (e.g., sand/soil) not contained.

  • Items exceeding our size/weight limits or that cannot be safely restrained.


6) Delivery windows & timing

  • Windows are estimates, not guarantees. Traffic, weather, store queues and site access may impact timing.

  • Same-day is subject to cut-off and capacity. We will communicate updates where possible.


7) Pricing, surcharges & payment

  • Prices are in AUD; GST applies where applicable.

  • Base pricing depends on vehicle type and distance, plus any surcharges:

    • Wait time after a grace period at pickup/drop (billed in set increments).

    • Two-person lift / Stair carry / Wrap or tarp / After-hours or weekend.

    • Return to store (failed delivery) / Re-delivery.

  • Payment: card at booking, or invoice for approved trade accounts. Invoices are due on the stated terms; late payment may incur admin/interest.

  • Final charges may vary if details provided were incomplete/incorrect.


8) Cancellations, changes & no-shows

  • Changes/cancellations outside the cut-off: no fee (unless otherwise stated).

  • Inside cut-off or after dispatch: a fee may apply (including time/kilometres already incurred).

  • No-show/failed pickup or delivery (e.g., store items not ready, no site access): wait-time applies; return-to-store and/or re-delivery will be charged.


9) Proof-of-delivery (POD) & authority to leave

  • We provide POD photos and recipient name/signature (where available).

  • If you authorise ATL (Authority to Leave), delivery is completed when goods are left at the instructed location; risk passes on leaving.


10) Risk, title & liability

  • We act as a carrier only. Title to goods remains with you/your supplier.

  • Risk in the goods during carriage is managed with reasonable care and load-restraint practices.

  • To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), our liability for loss/damage is limited to the lesser of:

    • the actual, direct loss to the goods, or

    • AUD $500 per delivery,
      unless a higher amount is agreed in writing before dispatch.

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (e.g., project delay, loss of profit, re-work costs), delays caused by third parties, inaccurate information, or events beyond our control.


11) Claims

  • Inspect goods on delivery where possible.

  • Notify us of loss/damage within 24 hours with photos, order/PO reference, and details.

  • We will review POD, handling notes and investigate with the driver/supplier.


12) Returns & exchanges

  • Site collect → return to store or exchange runs are treated as new bookings (wait-time/handling may apply).


13) Safety & driver rights

  • Drivers may refuse/stop a task that is unsafe (e.g., insecure loads, unsafe access, hazardous weather, aggressive behaviour).

  • Drivers follow PPE and site rules; they are not required to perform tasks outside safe manual-handling limits or climb scaffolding/ladders.


14) Accounts & credit

  • Trade accounts are subject to approval and may be withdrawn for late payment or misuse.

  • You authorise us to email invoices/receipts and reminders to your nominated contacts.


15) Website & IP

  • Site content, logos, and materials are owned by TradieGet or our licensors and may not be copied without permission.

  • You must not misuse the website or attempt to interfere with its security.


16) Privacy

  • We handle personal information per our Privacy Policy (see tradieget.com/privacy-policy).

  • Operational data (addresses, access notes, item descriptions) may be shared with drivers only as needed to complete a job.


17) Force majeure

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., extreme weather, road closures, strikes, utility failures, platform outages).


18) Variations to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version. Significant changes will be posted on our website.


19) Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia.
